One of my brothers used to listen to Korn and System of a Down and the other listened to Papa Roach. However she always thought me listening to heavy music would be a bad influence because my Dad never liked that sort of stuff and they wanted to raise a kid who ‘wouldn’t get angry’. My mum used to listen to lots of Led Zepplin, Queen, Metallica and AC/DC before she had me. When I was growing up tons of Nu-Metal was present, heck I remember a lot of the songs from Hybrid Theory was blurted out of the radio at home when I was just a few months old. Since I have so many coldrain songs which could’ve made my top ten, here are a few honourable mentions: The solos in this song are truly a spectacle to hear.) Time Bomb - The Revelation (The song is very upbeat and very catchy. The guitar riff we get by Yoko is insane.)ĭie Tomorrow - Nothing Lasts Forever (I was introduced to this band back in 2010 with this song, and it’s incredibly nostalgic and would be criminal for me not to put this on this list.) Perfect showcase of cleans, screams and the amazing instrumental. Which wasn’t beaten until just this time last year. I was blown away, it was my number one for so long. I remember the day it came out, and holy fuck. Undertow - Vena II (If you asked me 2 years ago, this was my favourite coldrain song I had ever heard. It’s a relatable message and overall a very kickarse song.) Packs so much emotion and Masato’s screams and cleans are fantastic, the whole song packs a punch and is an excellent listen.)Ĭounterfeits and Lies - Final Destination (My favourite off Final Destination at the moment and sums up all of the crying Media attention and the horrendous Theresa May as the prime minister. It’s so incredibly catchy and Masato’s vocals are fantastic throughout the whole song.)Įnvy - Fateless (My personal favourite song off Fateless. It pumps you up a lot and shows the best capabilities of what the band has to offer in terms of screams.)Īfter Dark - Nothing Lasts Forever (If you asked me prior to the release of Revolution, this would’ve been at the top of my list. To Be Alive - The Enemy Inside (This is my go to coldrain song for the gym or if I want to straight out headbang like mad. I get so emotionally invested into Whole and is overall really well put together.) Stay on Fateless tried the same sort of vibe and missed the mark completely. Whole - Vena (Hands down the most beautiful song they’ve ever made, it works. No Escape - Through Clarity (I’ve been listening to it so much recently and it just hits so much adrenaline into your body.) Revolution - The Side Effects (Latest single and a really good song overall, I really dig the sound change to a more Nu-Metalcore style of music.) If I have to make a list, it will be this: It’s usually the only song on Vena I tend to skip when listening to that album. You’ve got a good list, however I can never get into Divine and I have no idea why. I’m looking forward to their album ‘The Side Effects’ coming out this year. I’m surprised I haven’t seen this post sooner.Įither way, it’s nearly impossible to make a top 10 as there are so many amazing songs to listen to.
